The Lakeshore Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) strives to support, unify and coordinate efforts between home and school that will contribute to the intellectual, cultural, emotional, physical and social development of children.

We support the Lakeshore School mission:

Our mission, in partnership with family and community, is to prepare children for a profoundly different future, and to provide a safe environment, a caring and dedicated staff, and a challenging curriculum so that every child experiences the joys of learning.

Lakeshore belief statements:

  • All students can learn,

  • Every child has unique talents and abilities,

  • High expectations yield high achievement,

  • learning is a continuous, life-long process,

  • We must prepare students to be respectful, responsible citizens,

  • We must provide opportunities for children to express themselves creatively, and

  • Everyone deserves to be treated with kindness.

Additionally, the Lakeshore PTO supports the mission of the Fond du Lac School District:

The mission of the Fond du Lac School District, in partnership with the family and the community, is to promote high achievement and foster the continuous growth of the whole child, with our commitment that each becomes a creative, contributing citizen in a culturally diverse society by providing personalized learning opportunities in a safe, nurturing environment.

Funding for the PTO promotes school programs, activities, and events through special events and donations. These funds are used for:

    • Teacher funding requests (i.e. artist in residence, physical education equipment, classroom amplification systems, pencil sharpeners, etc.)

    • Books and learning materials for the Media Center and for each classroom

    • Student directory and yearbook

    • Field trips

    • Outdoor classroom and nature center maintenance

    • Teacher & staff appreciation week

    • 5th grade recognition

    • College scholarships for former Lakeshore students

    • Special student activities at night

    • Playground improvements

And much, much more!
